Windle International (WI) consists of interdependent charitable organisations – our members - based in and operating across Eastern Africa and the UK, with support offices in Europe, the US, and Canada.
Starting from humble beginnings in 1977 with the establishment of Windle International Kenya in Nairobi by founder Dr Hugh Austin Windle Pilkington, we now operate in Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, the UK, the EU, the US, and Canada.
From our head office in Nairobi and our programme offices in Dadaab and Kakuma refugee camps, we've been running education support programmes in Kenya since 1977. Read more
Our most recently-established member, Windle International Somalia works in Kismayo and Afamdow districts, reaching over 5,000 internally-displaced people, refugee returnees, and host community children. Read more
